I am a passionate contemporary dance artist, based in the south west of the UK.
I am an adaptable dance artist with an eclectic portfolio of work, built off of the abundance of love & enthusiasm I have for dance as an artform. From a very young age, i have always loved to dance, and that has only grown as I have developed into the creative I am today; I care intensely for the work that I create and that innate love for what I do is what drives all my projects. Working from the heart of my creative ventures outwards allows those I work with and/or the audience with whom I share the work to really connect with what I do, and this essence of connection and passion is something I embed into all that I am tasked with.
I am passionate about the power of dance, whether that be in the studio or on the stage, I am drawn to creating evocative work that sparks an emotional response - from joy to nostalgia to grief to strength & unity; as long as it leaves an impact, a little imprint on you, I’ve done my job well. I believe in the power of really truly feeling things and this drives my belief in my ability as a dance artist to carve out spaces and places for others to harness their emotion, reconnecting with themselves or others, tuning into things they’ve left unsaid or pathways they may have forgotten - dance is a language for all of those things that can’t be expressed in any other way. The work I most enjoy being a part of is work that makes people feel things, resonating and connecting with both audiences and those involved in the process. It sparks such joy in me to use my creative, performative and technical skills to create a world that others can get lost in, or maybe find missing parts of themselves in too.
I have been dancing since I was three years old and have always known that this was what I was going to pursue. I approach all of my creative endeavours with enthusiasm, weaving care and dedication into everything that I do.
Dance has always been integral to who I am as a person, and has taught me to be almost all of what i know about myself.
I believe this to be true because dance has been the one constant that has always remained in my pathway of growing up, learning and becoming the person I am today. It has been the driving factor in curating my sense of identity whilst simultaneously boosting my creative, leadership and interpersonal skills; nurturing my ability to bring creative visions to life. But most of all, dance has connected me to other people, and I am constantly inspired by the community that our artform can create. Every interaction with dance teachers, mentors, partners, peers, students, friends and collaborators has left a lasting impression on me, altering and adjusting who I choose to be as a dancer as I grow. I am really interested in the coexistence of self-identity and that of being a dancer; From personal experience and my dissertation research into perfectionism in dance and the impact of dance training on personal development, I recognize the importance of creating safe spaces, facilitating environments, and moments for those around me to grow and flourish. With all that i have learnt from my almost 20+ years of dancing, i hope to curate my own space within the dance world that reflects my love and care for the artform, and hopefully ignites a similar passion in others too.

Dance Background.I started off my dance journey at three years old, dancing at Langley School of Dance. I studied ballet, tap and modern, and through all my years dancing there it was always where I felt most at home. Dancing at Langley is the epitome of childhood joy and shaped me into who I am today. I still treasure those memories of dancing there with the most wonderful teachers and friends. I feel so lucky to have had such a fun, friendly, nurturing space to first encounter dance, as that care and love for what i do and what i create has always stuck with me ever since.
I then transitioned into the world contemporary dance and have recently graduated from Arts University Bournemouth with a First Class Degree in BA (Hons) Dance, and am ever-grateful for my time studying at AUB Dance as my degree, and all the people involved, made me into not only the dancer - but the person i am.
My degree in Dance has taught me to be compassionate, collaborative, conscientious and considerate. I have high standards of professionalism, resilience, reliability, and motivation, and in any job role I am dedicated to being someone who will go above and beyond to exceed the expectations and standards of the role. I take pride in being someone who is dependable and give my all to every project I undertake. At university, I loved having the chance to cultivate a repertoire of diverse creative skills developed through a multitude of different projects across my time at AUB. Post-graduation I am open to all avenues of creating a dance career, building up an eclectic portfolio of exciting dance work in a range of forms and outputs.
Something I love about dance and the industry is the aspect of continually learning, always immersing myself within the dance community, learning from those around me. In the future, I am looking to curate my own contemporary dance company, aligning with my passion for choreography and creation.
i adore every avenue of being a dance artist.
From choreography, creative exploration and performance to the technical side of sound editing, projection mapping and lighting design, I have a strong passion for all the work that goes into creating a dance production. I adore helping to idealize a vision and working innovatively to help a dance work come to life; whether that be an induvial intimate solo choreography shot on film or a full scale dance production set in a theatre.
I have always struggled to find my niche within this industry because my passions are so wide-reaching; I simply love all things dance. I have worked in a variety of different roles in a variety of different formats as I love being immersed in all things creative and adore unlocking new skills that equip me with an even more eclectic toolkit as a dance artist.
My Instagram is the best way to get a good insight into what i’m currently working on & all that goes into what i do, as found here.
i am grateful to have worked on a vast array of projects as a dance artist, in a variety of different capacities, and i hope to continue to explore more avenues of the industry as i grow.
